Kelly Kelly Minter
Kelly Minter is our youth minister. orignially from Pennsylvania, Kelly has been at PVUMC for almost 5years. A youth ministry professional for 14 years, Kelly brings a professional calling and long term knowledge to PVUMC Student Ministries.
our ministry Our ministry exists to provide students with experiences where they can meet and encounter God in diffferent ways. These experiences become the building blocks on which their faith formation grows.
We have multiple meeting times
Sunday AM: We meet upstairs in the youth room during the 11AM worship service. Twice monthly we host a church wide experiential worship service, and once monthly we work on a service project. On the FIRST Sunday or every month, we do not hold programming and encourage the students to do something with their families instead. We are calling this "Family Sunday".
Sunday PM: We meet from 5:30PM-8PM for our weekly "youth group" style meeting. We begin with dinner together, and then after a game and announcements we go into a time of small group study.
Wednesday PM: We meet from 6PM-8PM for YCAM (Youth Creative Arts Ministry). Beginning with dinner and devotions, this is the group that is responsible for the creative arts expressions we are able to provide for our church family on Sunday mornings. Both drama and praise band practices are part of YCAM.
Dori Dori Schaffield
Dori Schaffield is one of our middle school counselors. An advertising major at UNF, Dori lives in the Jax beach area and enjoys reading, writing, and surfing the internet
Ashley Ashley Sabol
Ashley Sabol is one of our High School counselors. A resident of Houston, TX, Ashley is in Jacksonville attending college. An economy major at JU, Ashley is also branching into the field of sustainability. She enjoys the beach, hanging with our students, and dogs :)
Tucker Tucker Holland
Tucker Holland is our youth ministry intern. A student at FSCJ, Tucker is pursuing a business major as well as exploring his call into youth ministry. He works with our High School small group on Sunday evenings.
Yolie Yolie Macon
Yolie is one of our Sunday evening counselors. She also coordinates the fantastic meals on Sunday nights! She is a teacher in Duval County and enjoys taking trips with the students and spending time with her family!
Brill Brill
Taylor Brill (AKA, Brill) has been with us since January 2010. He is a student at University of North Florida, and he works for a carpet cleaning company as well as Chick-fil-a. In his spare time he particpates with his band, I drive a Station Wagon.
Never someone to sit still for long, Brill brings a level of activity and readiness to serve into our student ministry. He volunteers with our high school small groups.
Brynne Brynne Plant
After growing up in St. Paul, MN, Brynne headed to college at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. After college, Brynne just kept moving further south to Atlanta where she worked with children in the foster care system for several years and eventually to PVB, where she never plans to leave.
When she first arrived to Jacksonville, she worked for Children's Home Society as an Adoption Supervisor and has been the Middle School Counselor at Bolles since 2008.
Brynne loves to hang out at the beach, play tennis and golf, and spend time with her husband, Dave, and her "baby" (her dog), Jake.
